Everything You Need To Know About Botox Injection
Even taking care of your skin every day and promoting better hydration of your skin, you can’t really fight skin aging because it’s a natural process. To combat the appearance of wrinkles on the face, botulinum toxin injection is an effective solution to take care of facial muscles and rejuvenate its features!
Botox injection: We’re talking about it!
Botox or botulinum acid is designed from a bacterium and is used in cosmetic surgery as it allows the treatment of expression wrinkles, especially at the level of the eyebrows or wrinkles of the lion. Injections can also be done to treat wrinkles on the forehead, at the outer corners of the eyes, and even to prevent the cheeks from loosening.
This treatment of cosmetic medicine is recommended only on the top of the face and not on the chin, as it can change the shape of the face and distort the edges of the mouth. An exception is however made to treat neck wrinkles and to combat the folds of bitterness around the lips.
How is wrinkle filling going?
Injecting botox is recommended from the midlife. In order to smooth wrinkles and smooth the skin, the surgeon will perform the facelift quickly and without anesthesia. During this treatment of rejuvenation of the strokes, the pain is less because the needle used is very fine. The surgeon will mainly target the wrinkle and muscle in order to reduce and suppress muscle contraction. During the first year, in order to avoid the appearance of wrinkles, one injection should be done per quarter. The following years, 2 to 3 injections will suffice depending on the area being treated!
What are the effects of botox?
The main mission of hyaluronic acid injection is to block nerve transmission. When botox is injected into areas such as the forehead, or the corner of the eyes, it will reduce expression wrinkles due to muscle contractions. This treatment is all the more effective on lion wrinkles (or wrinkles of the frown and vertical wrinkles between your eyebrows), forehead wrinkles and goose paw wrinkles. Side effects are more likely to appear around the mouth as this area is delicate. In all cases, the results may appear within 24 to 48 hours after the injection and no more than 1 to 4 weeks after the injection.
It should be noted that botulinum toxin can also be used to treat diseases such as dystonia or spasmodic torticolis and blepharospasm.
What are the side effects and contraindications?
In France, only plastic surgeons, dermatologists, face and neck surgeons and maxillofacial surgery professionals can do botox injections. Like the use of any other product, botox can cause some side effects.
It is therefore not uncommon to have sufficiently raised eyebrows after an injection. But don’t worry, everything returns to normal a few hours later. Headaches are also quite common after treatment. And if you abuse this method, your face will no longer look natural because it will be too smooth, especially when compared to the skin of the neck.
It is very important to respect the spacing of the sessions (a delay of at least 4 months between sessions is recommended). This will allow you to keep skin young and smooth but avoid looking frozen.
